Assuming it is dry some of the Corvettes will be making an appearance at Santa Pod on the 5th of October.
Me, Joe, Mr T and RR are going at the moment, but the more the merrier.

Yeah lets hope as we are going to Devon for a week on Saturday and I intend to spend most of my time flying the traction kite.

Well on second thoughts I think I might just stay at home and polish my sump bolts, this racing thing's not really for me you know...

I plan to get up there around 9:30 to sign on, if the turnout is good they sometimes limit the numbers.

Any plans to meet up somewhere and go in convoy or should we see each other up there?

9:30 would be a good time to arrive there. Joe and I usually cruise up together and stop off at Toddington services. It ain't much good but it's all there is at that time on a Sunday morning. We'd probably leave there no later than 9:00.

Nige usually sleeps in a bit longer and drives up faster without stopping. It's unlikely Jan will bring her Viper as she's usually still asleep at home when we're doing our first run of the day !

Hello Tristram,
Yes I will no doubt still be in bed when you are on your way to Santa Pod. I am waiting for my new exhaust and cats to arrive from the states which will make the Viper have just under 500 bhp.
Have you thought about trying to increase your power?

Hi Neil,

Hope you are ok. In the end I bought a Corsa 3" cat back exhaust and pair of Random Technologies high flow cats. This should add at least 20 bhp at the flywheel. Can`t wait for it all to arrive and be fitted.

To be honest it wasn`t for an increase in bhp. God knows my clumsiness has resulted in one too many accidents, but for a more ferocious and louder sound.
After hearing your Viper at Avon Raceway it gave me inspiration to change the sound of mine.

I've got another 18 months/30,000 miles before the warranty runs out on mine, so no serious mods until then ! (Oh, and getting a steady income might be a good idea too !)

So chaps,

What time are the Basingstoke posse going to leave for Santa Pod on Sunday morning?

I thought about 8 a.m.?

I assume wee Jock Dispinseri and wee Lou are going, Mr T, myself and young Cliffy.

BTW Cliffy do you wanna lift as your are short one Corvette at the moment?

Is Elsie from Bournemouth coming as well?

I assume we are going to meet RR at Toddington or at the Pod.

Call me tomorrow to let me know.

Thought I'd leave about 7:15-7:30 and make a brief snack stop at Toddington on the way.

Will you be bringing your video camera ?

At the moment the forecast for Sunday is bright start but with cloud and rain arriving later. That's exactly what happened to me last year, had a few runs in the morning. Queued up after lunch finally got to the front, did a little burn out, staged, ready light came on, then the rain came down hard and I was marooned at the line. Had to reverse out and go home !
