The Irish voted. They voted wrongly according to the Irish government. Now the government is trying to figure out how to reverse the vote, either with another referendum or legislation.

Democracy?

Of course the British didn't get to vote at all!

Which way would you ahve voted? Would you be happy being told by your elected representatives that you were wrong?

Welcome to socialism.

The Irish govt did this to the Irish people with the euro as well. Keep having referenda until you get the answer you want, then stop.

It's what the EU does, and the prime reason why I despise the institution with every fibre of my being.

Unacountable, unelected, and unworthy. fk 'em, fk 'em in the eye.
