I've just ordered a cooper S (did have a cooper) are there any mods that can be done to the engine for more power, I can't afford the works conversion but would like more power any ideas?

There are number of companies doing 200 bhp conversions, price seem to start from £1500 but they will invalidate the warranty.

Yes but only for a year, the BMW warranty is 3 years so I thought maybe have it done after 2 years.

You may want to take a look at the November edition of Evo magazine in which there is a test of 10 modified minis.
