According to Guido Fawkes Labour are being destoryed in an opinion poll

"MORI tomorrow will have a poll putting the Tories on 52%, Labour on 24% and the Lib Dems on 12%. Total political meltdown.

According to Electoral Calculus, this would give the Tories 493 seats, Labour 121 and leave the Lib Dems on 8 seats."

So which will be finished first Global Capitalism or Gordon? At this rate neither will make the weekend

sod it, can a mod fix the title

He's certainly in a tight spot and I think it is clearer than ever that Labia are not going to win the next election.

Sadly I suspect they won't do the decent thing and call an election. They will just let it drag on and on.

If voting changed anything, they'd ban it.

Opinion polls can somewhat exagerate leads at times, particulary after a spate of bad headlines. No matter how unpopular the Tories got they still had their core vote of roughly a third of the electorate.

I would be surprised if Labour got much less than 30% at the next election.

Same here - I'm always in favour of Nu Labia.

Do turkeys vote for Christmas? Am election now would almost certainly see the majority of Labour MP's out of work. They will hang on until 2010 for sure. Likewise a change of leader now would almost certainly have to be followed by an election (you cant expect the public to swallow 2 unelected PM's in a row) which is why I think Broon will survive for now.

Should make for an interesting conference next week though! biggrin

My heartfelt thanks for posting that link. Some absolutely inspired comments, and I very nearly wet myself at the comment about Cameron, Clarkson, Olive oil, a quid lure, a Veyron and the BBC. Vintage stuff indeed.
