Right, recently my wife has become a "Harry Pothead" hehe to the point where its starting to piss me off. I dont care what she reads but seriously i dont want to hear about the adventures of some speccy kid with a majic wand.

I just had this email from her (its our son's birthday next week)

"Can you tell your mother that "our son" doesn't want the darth Vader costume anymore he would like the Dumbledore dress up and wand."

Now my reply, in hindsight could have been worded a little better:

"No stop turning him into a Harry Potter gayer!!"

He was very much into star wars, Darth vader and the like, infinatly more acceptable and i was proud.

Am i in the wrong? Will Dressing up like Gary Gliter turn him Graham Norton?

You do realise dressing him up as Darth Vader will turn him into a powerful, galaxy-ruling tyrant?

You could go the best of both worlds and get him a pink stormtrooper outfit.

Harry potter IS gay.

If the son is under 5, get him the Harry Potter stuff, otherwise Storm Troopers all the way.

What you have to ask yourself is, does your wife like dressing up as characters from Harry Potter? Especially that Hermione one who we are now allowed to fancy as she has 'blossomed' into a tidy 18 year old...

He's 9 ffs, im still in shock at the suggestion laugh

The Dress up part was disturbing enough but the addition of the magic wand sealed the fate of the suggestion for me.

A darth vader suit and a copy of Razzle should do it hehe

I'd ask your son what he wants, rather than the PH massive.

In the choice between a dress with a stick, and putting your kid in a big black pvc dildo (with cape), you think the dildo option is more manly?
