So I keep hearing that the increased inflation rates require Mervyn King to write to Brown and Darling once a month to explain himself.

What does he discuss? And does it warrant a response?

I can only imagine it runs to the tune of:

"Sorry Darling, they're still getting higher, I can't seem to stop it.

Fondest Regards,

Merv"

Can anyone shed some light? I want to sound intelligent in the pub tonight.

The fact that the chairman of something like the MPC has to write an "I'm sorry" letter to qualificationless fktards like Darling and Brown is in itself unbelieveable.

I believe the letter details why in their view the rise is happening, how long it will last and what their return-to-green plan is.

The letters are published. Funny enough they dont contain any gay sex and man love references no matter how much you wish to see it.

I always thought they went along the lines of

"Darling Darling,

The economy is shafted and it is the fault of you and Gordo as you between the pair of you you know less about running the economy than my dog.

We will continue to try and manage the interest rates to falsify the ludicrous targets you pair of inept clowns seem to consider important.

HTH

Yours

Merv"

They're pretty dry. But fair play, it ends with a surprisingly pompous signature.

So does this continue indefinitely? Are there any implications for 15 (or however many it might be) straight letters?

Apart from showing how fking nonsensical the govt's target was in the first place and even with their fiddling of the figures they cant hide the truth...

Compare it to the childish scrawl of Darling!
