So I have now been away from my ex for 16 months (we were together just under 15 years, and I left him), but he still sends me stuff like this...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dv2s09cME6c

I've tired to ignore him, I've also tried to tell him I have moved on and so should he....Even tried the fk off and leave me alone technique, but nothing seems to be working frown

So how did you get the message through, that there was NO chance of ever getting back together?

Oh should maybe add, we do have a child together hehe

You could try being a mix of disinterested and slightly critical.

For example, that song he sent you, reply with.

"Ta. It's not one of their best is it? Shame."

He'll give up eventually.

Are you not being a little harsh, clearly a man of impecable taste, a sublime track taken from perhaps the Beatles best album, with Alan Civil accompanying on the french horn....did you actually require the moon on a special kind of stick? smile

My ex was stolen by the church and had her brain reprogrammed. The last time I tried to talk to her, she appeared quite insane and screamed at me. Affection had been turned to fear and hate and there was nothing I could do about it.

It was just the jolt I needed. I now take the view that the original person I knew and loved has died.

ETA - to the OP, if he's the father of your child then you should maybe think about that...

Sorry to hear that, but moving on to better things etc.

As you may know it doesn't require religion to do as much.

in a rarely serious moment, I'd be inclined to listen to swilly - ignore him. Humouring him with any response is liable to drag matters out...

A friendly word from your current boyfriend,friend,f/buddy or just the biggest guy you know usually does the trick.

Ignore. Sooner or later the message will get through. Some spend their lives living in hope, so never EVER shag him again even if he's the most deserving mercy fk in the history of the universe, or like a leaky tampon on a car seat, you'll never get rid of the smell.

I do tend to ignore him now, and have done for the last year. But it still continues frown

He is seeing other people, which I suppose is a start. But I still get the little messages here and there.

And what annoys me the most, is that at times, I feel guilty as fk

I thought this thread might have been about gay men concerned about their ex-boyfriends still being their hairdressers.

Not really. But I have tried to make a joke by pretending that I misinterpreted the title with hilarious consequences involving gays and hair.
