Freeride Skis Advise Needed
Discussion
Right,
Need your help folks with choosing some decent freeride planks...
Been skiing for 25yrs now (21 days on average per every season) and I would dare call myself reasonably expert on piste. I am very aggressive and would always try to "monster" the slope. Currently use Atomic GS 9.22 which I personally think are the best thing since slice bread was invented
but enough about on-piste stuff because...
...off-piste the Atomic is no good. Don't get me wrong, I can still ski with it pretty much anywhere, but the looks I get in Chamonix are kinda hard to describe
Moreover, I tried some Dynastar Legend 8-thousand somethings and enjoyed myself in the sugar so much that I decided to invest in a second pair of freeride skis to go with the Atomics and my snowboard. The Dynastars were too heavy though and did not suit my skiing style.
I am 6' 4" and my weight is around 110kg - no fat - well almost
I am not interested in venturing in the park with the kids - just pure back country, but also I would like to have the versatility to take them on piste. Short of ordering from these people http://www.capitalskis.com/ what would the PH massive suggest?
:
TIA

Get a pair of Praxis skis. Absolutely awesome performance in the soft stuff.

I've got a pair of the Powder Boards and i never want to go back to a conventional sidecut, cambered ski.
