Is it just me that finds this particularly disturbing?

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/7617984.stm

So now it doesn't matter whether the whole of the UK and members of your own party want him out - he'll still be sat there for years to come bringing this country crumbling down around his (hugeears) ears!

Just exactly when do we get to vote this guy out?

Hello smile

Now I think the best thing for the UK is to make sure Gordon stays just where he is, we don't want any kind of bounce for a replacement. Just a total massacre of the parliamentary Labour party in the next election, mid 2009 would do nicely.

Long Live Gordon Brown.

If he were to be ousted then maybe, just maybe, there would be a slim chance of Labour retaining power (though I very much doubt it).

If we keep Gordon then he will continue to f**k things up like he did during his 10 years as Chancellor. Labour will continue to implode, they will lose the election to a Conservative landslide and we will all be fine for the next 8 years, until the 'mob' get tired of news headlines focusing on deviant Conservative MP's partaking in S&M sessions and vote Labour in again (even though by this time the Conservatives will have got us back to a properly managed and prosperous economy). Labour will then get back in, screw everything up like they have been doing for the past 10 years and PH will no doubt discuss the same dead duck in power thing all over again.

Is that the earliest it can be called or is that when its scheduled for?

I made sure my housemate/landlady put me on the electoral roll when the form came the other week so that I can put my X in the box when the time comes.

IIRC Brown can hang on until 2010. But it takes time to organise a campaign. Worryingly Labour are now receiving 40% of their funding from just one trade Union. So they're sure to do some more vandalism before they're booted out.

TBH I suspect Labour want to keep Brown on as a handy scapegoat. If they get someone else in the electorate will discover they're all feckless tts and Labour's chances in 8 years are diminished. IYSWIM.

Unless his own party force him out, the slackjawed will in all likelihood cling on until mid-2010. That is the latest time he can wait until calling a general election.

That would be the sensible answer, but maybe they think a new PM can bail them out.

But where's Cameron? Why isn't he sticking the boot in?

I hope the Beeb simply isn't reporting it, I suspect he's as wet as a weekend in Grimsby.

There's absolutely no need to, they're doing a fine job of deystroying themselves, the best thing is to keep quiet and let them get on with it.

I don't understand how Gordon Brown can sit back and think everything is fine with fellow MPs calling for his resignation and resigning themselves from the party left, right and centre.

Surely thats got to be a "wake up and smell the coffee" moment!?!?!

He's arrogant, bullying, unbalanced, and famously bad tempered. He in all probability believes his own spin/BS and his cabinet are scared to challenge him.

i still say we should trial them all for treason, make them accountable and bring back hanging.

that will learn any other jumped up prick of an MP trying to gather personal gain instead of doing the right thing for the country.
