I've read a few horror stories about Facebook and am pre-empting similar problems by seeking advice from the Forum. I have tried to look back through previous posts but there doesnt seem to be any info that can help.

I ended on bad terms with a former girlfriend. When times were better, she had set up a profile for me because she thought I needed one! Anyway, it got ugly between us and we parted. Unfortunately, I never got around to requesting the login details. The profile was de-activated and as far as I know, it remains so. (when I log-in using a new profile I have created, it appears 'blackened out' and cannot be selected)

Now mindful of this (we are in very brief contact but 'friendship' is very icy and I know she may want to settle a score), I've decided to set up an official profile as friends are always wanting to 'add' me. I request advice please on;

1) How best to notify friends on how to join this profile? I understand I can email them but does that provide a link directly to my profile? (Given my name has just three entries in Facebook, I would not want them to join the wrong profile by performing a name search and stumbling upon the wrong profile which she may have activated)

2) Looking ahead, what steps can I take to ensure that my profile is as secure as possible?

Will keep the forum posted if this turns into Grade 5 status (pictures posted, girlfriend leaving me for best friend etc!) but I am just playing it safe as it is in my nature!

Thanks,
TB

FB has something called friendfinder - you can put in your e-mail log in details and it will find others in your previous emails who are using the same address - so you can invite them and it will make a direct link to your profile

you can take pre emptive action by just inviting all your friends yourself..

finally, you can email facebook and ask them to remvoe your 'fake' profile.

Ok, I can help here.

You need to introduce your 'chap' to your chosen lady slowly. Too much aggression at this stage might cause her to have second thoughts. Allow her to get used to your chap being in her space. Once she seems relaxed I would suggest a bit of gentle bubbing. Gently tap the side of her cheek with your chap. This may cause her to giggle, but will ultimately serve to put her more at ease. At this time I would encourage her to gently kiss your chap, after which she will be ready to take it in. Be careful not to thrust too hard as this may initiate a gag reflex and cause your chosen lady to choke and, worse still, bite down on your chap. Allow her to set the pace and when nearing 'completion', prepare her for the culmination of her efforts. You may elect to discuss where to complete beforehand. My advice is if that she has not mentioned it to you, assume that you are ok to stay where you are. Try not to pull her head too hard into your groin area when you complete as the same gag/choke response may result. Afterwards, thank her for her time.

If you can still see the old profile but it's "blackened out", (by this I think you mean the name is black and you can't click on it?) then all that means is that it's a private profile and you can't see it without being friends with the person. I imagine it is probably still active so I'd speak to facebook and see what you can do about that first!!

That looks to me the profile privacy setting has been turned on to only friends or only you to see this. so the name appars in black not blue.
