500,000 jobs to go by year-end
Discussion
As ever the Daily Mail are doing their best to get middle England pooing its collective self.
However.
At the beginning of the year I thought a 40% drop in house prices was on the cards.
Now I don't think it will stop there.
Especially newish aspirational houses and city centre apartments.
There are going to be so many distress sales with no buyers that it is going to drag the whole market down well past the 50% drop.
We have at least two long, cold, doom laden winters ahead of us.
If you have any assets to sell then bail out now. They may be down on their peak value but they still have a long way to fall.
However.

Do I hear 200? 300?
They will fall by a bit, but they will soon recover because demand outstrips supply - we have more people entering this country than leaving it (though Mr Brown is doing his best to ensure the Brits all get so p***ed off that they leave)...
And the people entering this country are cash buyers? They will fall by a bit, but they will soon recover because demand outstrips supply - we have more people entering this country than leaving it (though Mr Brown is doing his best to ensure the Brits all get so p***ed off that they leave)...
