Anyone know any tutorials on using flash?
Discussion
I've always steered clear of flash partly because i need to get my head round the rest of the stuff first but if i'm absolutely honest it terrifies me. don't know why, i suppose its because i don't know how to use it properly.
I only have a built in flash on the 450D but i would love to learn how to make the background round a face go black or use it to stop a car or truck in the pic. i saw a picture once of a truck just about to run over a frog with an explanation about using flash.
When to use it and how.

Some good stuff here - http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php...
Just buy one - probably one of the single things you can do to take pictures to the next level without actually having much more skill (speaking for myself)
Much simpler to use than you think. Don't forget to use it outdoors for fill. Play with rear curtain synch and slowsynch

Has loads of stuff if you fancy getting clever
