Was riding back home from my girlfriends, when I saw the car in front of me approaching the roundabout at about 5mph, I noticed he had his phone out and just thought "f**king t**t" until he actually entered the roundabout and kerbed his car pretty hard on the roundabout itself, and then carried on.

Was pretty obviously something was up so I followed him around at about 10mph, he went round twice and then took one of the exits, again at about 15mph, crashing into the kerb as he did so. He then proceeded to drive with his car dragging along the kerb for about 100 metres. then I think he twigged I was following him so did a U-Turn and went back to the roundabout, crashing into the kerb again, and generally swerving everwhere, he then proceeded to join a 70mph dual carriageway (A562 if anyone knows it) at 20mph... (Luckily it was late so there was no traffic on it.

Did the only thing I could and pulled over and phoned the police with his reg, although was tempted to pull him out of his car and take his keys! Idiot.

What are the chances that the police were actually bothered/would send anyone out? He could of easily killed someone.

The police in all probability were bothered. Why not call them and find out if anything came of it?

Well I did something similar not to long ago(dont want to post exact dates), same scenario almost, so phoned the police whilst behind the blinged out saxo and they had caught the little sh*ts about 15 mins after I called. I had given a full detailed description of car and occupants thou.

Got a call an hour later saying; thank you for phoning us we also caught them in precession of drugs with the intent to sell. We'll be round in the morning to get a statement if needed.

Next morning get a call that they have been able to charge them on the basis of what I said to the police the previous night and wanted to really thank me for my time.

Got to say I felt brilliant and really valued (and thinking about it still do smile). I’ve seen the other side of when things haven’t gone so well and the police have struggled to deal with the situation. But on this case and almost whenever I call in a suspected drink driver police always seem to react pretty quickly.

I think I'll give them a call later, would I just call the local station? I dialled 999 when I called it in originally as I don't have any of the local numbers on my phone :/

They should have sent a car last time I called them was to report an escaped sheep yeh yeh cue the Welsh jokes. It was about 50 meters away from a dualcarrige way and a nasty accident. On a similar topic I saw a bull on the motorway the other day, that was funny as the policeman approached it very slowly thinking what the hell was he going to do with this beast.
