In The Shadow of the Moon

[shalmaneser]

Has anyone else seen this?

Currently in HMV 2 DVDs for a tenner.

I had heard it won about a million awards, and I love space travel and all that stuff so thought it was worth a fiver (along with 'Lock Stock')

Wow. What an incredible movie, highly, highly recommended to anyone with any interest in the moon, history, space flight, whatever! Genuinely one of the most uplifting films I have ever seen.

If anyone tries to tell me 'they faked it', I will kick them in the face.

That is all, just wanted to share the love.

Bad form that man.

Ahem

Glad you liked it. My brother-in-law composed the soundtrack.

I haven't seen it, but the other epic has to be 'Apollo 13'.

Is that Ron Howard of Happy Days fame?

iirc he's made some other great movies as well...

Will have to look out for this one; I love all this space stuff......

edited for stupid drunken typo....

Cross him with a nutter and you get L. Ron Howard

This is a documentary, not a feature film as such. Original video of landings and take offs, with plenty of really insightful interviews, with a great soundtrack.

Much better than Apollo 13!!!!
