Don't waste your money. It is cheap and in a food store for a reason. it is s

In the past I have fell for the charms of cheap chinese cack from this store. Pillar drill with a chuck and morse tapers so far out you gouldn't stop the drill from spinning. a bench grinder that vibrates the bench in the garage like a lancaster bomber coming into land.
Cheap spanners that are thous to big or small, taps and dies that can tap copper or aluminium perhaps and not too often.
Its all disposable cack which costs more in the long run

Go to your local sunday market. the old tool stalls sell absolute bargain british made gems. talk to the stallholders. nobody buys tools etc anymore. this is where you get good qquality british made tools made to last.
My colchester lathe was made in 1953.
A machine mart lathe doesn't even come close.
if nothing else we should all refuse to have Chinese Products on principle. this is the reason petrol prices and our country is in the mess it is today.

Also look on ebay for secondhand tools - sort them by distance from you - they are heavy so cannot realistically be posted.
I got a massive trunk of tools (including the trunk) for £35 that took 2 people to carry it.
There's some rubbish in there but there's also some stuff I now use daily and wouldn't want to be without.
It may take a while but there are bargains to be found.
Autojumbles and markets aswell as has already been said - the old english stuff is just about indestructible.

And when they do break you can end getting injured by the splintering metal.
