Fcensoredk it.... they want us back to mud huts and weaving yogurt for a living.

Tempted to give it to them so that they can realise that its all crap and little things like infant deaths go shooting through the roof without some form of 21st century medical care - which takes electricity....

Really starting to get sick to the back teeth of these morons.

They don't want technological solutions.

They don't want solutions at all.

They want social and economic change.

They want control.

I fail to see how green their anti whaling ships are, how much heavy oil do they consume chasing the japs across international waters?

Such people are naturally unhappy and wish to make everyone else (ie normal people) equally unhappy.

The problem is that they are over-educated, lucid and argumentative, so they often win those arguments and hence get their way. They win, we suffer. I have little food in the house because my local supermarket (walking distance) no longer gives out carrier bags. Later on I will drive to one that does.

I agree. I have started listening to Radio 4 in the mornings and they seem to get quite some coverage.

Now maybe this is over simplifying things but it is my understanding that they want neither coal or nuclear powered power stations.

I also understand that they have complained about wind turbines for killing bird of prey / ruining the landscape.

So, what do they want? (a genuine question).

"... and it will divert money from the real solutions, renewable energies and energy efficiency"

Apparently.

So your dialysis machine will be OK, so long as the wind keeps blowing.

They're eco-anarchists these days and want a return to a pastoral medieval existence.

Everyone knows standards of living and quality of live peaked in the dark ages, right?

CCS power stations are one of the real possibilities we have for producing power cleanly. There is just under a trillon tonnes of coal left on the planet, enough to keep us fuelled for over 150 years.

These new CCS stations don't produce as much electricity as a modern polluting coal station but I would have thought environmentalists would love it as there's no CO2 emissions. Injecting the CO2 underground is the perfect way of getting rid of it as it's never going to be touched down there and is helping in 'artificial lift' (getting the most oil out of a reservoir than otherwise possible).

I don't know what Greenpeace really want. Well I think we all do really, but it's not what they are admitting to want. Stupid bds.

NAIL. HEAD. BANG.

They are not (in the vast majority of cases) environmentalists first. They are over run by rabid socialists/communists who have seen 'the environment' as a way of gaining political influence and power.

Just look at their member list and cross reference against previous known political affiliations/memberships FFS.

I have no argument about trying to stop whaling (or any otrher industrial scale hunting) - but that's about the only real Greenpeace supported issue that I ever find myself agreeing with, to be honest.

The trouble is Greenpeace seem to be under this dilusion that we can get all the power we need from renewable sources, which just isn't going to happen. Only place that really works is Iceland with geothermal power plants and such, but here we have to make do with wind turbines which are hopeless.

According to Dr P Moore, former leader and cofounder of Greenpeas, they "want to fight not to win" after the movement was taken over by "ultra-leftists".

Dear Greenpeace,

On behalf of everyone who's not an idiot, I would like to request that you go back to school and learn how numbers work.
It is not enough to say that "coal power stations produce SOME electricity. Wind farms produce SOME electricity. Therefore both are equally useful and we want wind farms."
Once you have grasped the concept of numbers, ask them to explain the meaning of the word MORE. Then, if you're feeling really brave, get them to teach you the phrase "NOT ENOUGH".

Yours Faithfully,
Doctor Dan
