Another one that could have been prevented, obvious warning signs ignored, concerns not acted upon, etc. How many times have we heard things like this over the last few years? Are the authorities too bogged down in red tape & political correctness to recognise the blindingly obvious when they see it?
failure on social services for not acting sooner.
Poor little thing.
what does the government say: no smacking so if Mrs normal gives johnney a tap she can be arrested and charge. but these hideous monsters can give their child a bloody good going over and social services visit and let the child stay.
The system just doesnt seem to work at all these days and at what cost.
a little childs life.

œ Eight fractured ribs.
œ He had swallowed a broken tooth.
œ Two of his fingernails and the tips of two other fingers were missing. A toenail was missing.
œ Ulcerated lesions on his scalp and the membrane between his upper lip and gum was torn.
But most horrifically the babyfs back was broken, said Sally OfNeill QC, prosecuting.
'That particular injury requires an extremely forceful hyper-extension of the spine by, for example, forcing a childfs back over your bent knee or over a banister rail.
'The effect of that particular assault would have been to cause paralysis from the level of the injury down.'

I can't read that story.
Got through the first few lines then couldn't go on - too sickening.
I will always struggle to understand how anyone can harm a young child - just reading the first few lines of that story makes me want to go upstairs, wake my five and two year olds up, and give them a huge hug - knowing that they are safe and cared for - and woe betide anyone who ever tried to hurt them......
