S1 Speedo Cable.

anyone know what the speedo cable is from, tvr parts.com have it at £32.50 pluss pluss. is it of the shelf somewear

A friend of mine used them for a Triumph TR4 speedo cable - great service and cheap too.

They quote some older TVR cables at about £16.

That's fair enough Adrian, good price too, how about an S1 speedo cable?

Mine has just broken, took it out of speedo end to check and looks ok, but will have to try and take the end out of the gearbox, put a drill on and spin it up to see if all ok cable and speedo side.
Any clues as to how to get it out of the gearbox, or is it a drop gearbox job?
I have been told it may be drive in box that has broken.

Apparently the cable is the same as Capri, can anybody confirm this?

Any advice on repair and fix will be welcome
