Came home late last evening to find our bunny rabbits both decapitated as a fox had gotten to em. Absolutely gutted

cry Our bunny got killed by next doors cat a couple of years ago. I hate it for that.

Shouldnt they be in a cage though? If a fox can get in then cant they rabbits get out?

Still, on the bright side, I opened this thread with huge trepidation, expecting another of your tales about swordfighting in a Bangkok bar.

they were in a run with a lid, it was a fairly old run and we're normally home so put them in their hutch around 6 but last night we were catching up with family after the holiday trip. Both of them were amazingly clean, it must have been a very quick in out job. Searched garden for missing heads nothing

We used to have a cat and a rabbit, and they got on fine. A few times the rabbit even charged the cat and the cat would shift sharpish. Once the cat chased the rabbit, but it didn't hurt it. Next doors' must be a particularly nasty cat.

On a vaguely related note, last night I discovered that a fox can maintain a speed of 23 mph while running in a straight line in the middle of my lane. Kept it up for about a third of a mile too. Have to admit I was impressed.

Sorry to hear about Flopsy and Mopsy. Rabbit pie tonight though I guess?

Rather begs the question, why you would click on it, expecting that? scratchchin

My sympathies.
We lost one to a fox some years ago. It was very independant and decided one evening it was NOT going back into his hutch and hid in the garden shrubbery. It wasn't the first time but it was the last. All I found were his intestines.
Another one froze when it fell into the (shallow) pond in the winter.
A replacement pair both succumbed to that nasty neuro-virus.

Keeping pets can be hard.

Horrible thing, chased it whenever i saw it (not seen it for ages so probably dead).

I was driving through a residential area at the other side of town a few days ago and saw a pet rabbit had escaped, on my way back i saw a cat stood next to it at the side of the road. Didnt want to interfere but really hope it was ok.

It was a proper cutie too

Aye, you're best to steer clear of getting involved in that sort of thing, could turn nasty.

Best advice is to call the BiB, they've got batons, pepper spray, tazers that sort of thing.

hehe well for a start it might have run away but i couldnt be arsed knocking on 50 different doors to find the owner and the RSPCA was the other side of town assuming the owner would call them (chav area)
