vodafone personal greeting

Ive recorded and saved a personal geeting so when im busy callers get a message from me instead of going to voicemail.

Im going nut because even though the message is saved, when I ring my switched off phone to check the message is working it just goes to voicemail.

What am I doing wrong?

Is it playing your message then going to voicemail?

You may need to call customer services to get it switched on. I think there's a code to put in to do the same job, if anyone knows it...
