I have noticed some people (and dealers...) "bumping" their adverts in the classifieds. I have tried editing my advert but it leaves it about 30 pages back still and I wonder if anyone can tell me how to bump it to get it back at the start....

Right click and copy your text.
Delete your advert.
Re-submit your advert Pasting your text from the copy you took above then, unfortunately you will have to upload your pictures manually as you did to start.thumbup

oh dear. Has PH finally turned corporate and now charging for private adverts? I did wonder when it was bought out whether the generous income from advertisement banners and the income from trade sales would be sufficient.

I have put an advert of seloc now anyway, at least it remains free there wink (although I pay my yearly subs..)

PH advert system used to be awesome to browse - utter shoite now . You cant tell whats new / whats old, and dealers are constantly at the top with the same cars listed every couple of days.

PH do have premium adverts which are available, but also free ones are still there too - so nobody has lost out.

Also, every PH member (EVERY member) which was a member when the classifieds introduced this (about 6 weeks ago I think) gets a free premium advert, valid for life.

It has been noted that, quite legitimately, some dealers are almost spamming the classifieds. They are doing it correctly, so to speak, but it is not nice for those with private ads (unless you select the private only search). This is being looked at and considered as it does deteriorate from the classifieds browsing.

I must have used my free "premium" advert without realising it then. So what does a "premium" advert get you over a free advert?

So now private sellers can pay for a premium advert - and get something akin to a dealers advert?? or

the private seller can not pay and get a free advert, which isn't so good or

a trade pays the same as they did before and gets a premium front page advert

Sorry if its been made clear on the site somewhere else (in which case a link will do mate) - only this has passed me right by, although I have noticed that the adverts have been a lot more mixed up from how I am used to seeing them - this must be why!
