Having trouble finding a RAW processor I like.

I would like:

Drag files into capture window
Click on thumbnail to see big image
Set destination folder
Highlight and shadow warning colours with on/off toggle
Easy use of levels, curves and WB
Magic wand/auto buttons for exposure and WB
Click button to process/add to processing queue

C1 V4 didn't seem to have the workflow; Bibble trial was a bit clunky. Waiting for C1 V4Pro but no sign yet. Nikon software horrible.

I use a PC - any suggestions folks? Currently having to shoot JPG which is a waste of a good camera!

What about Lightroom 2 (v1 doesn't support D700)

I don't use it, and I can't vouch for your feature list, but friends (inc a couple of pros) who do use it say it's great.

I'd have a trial with Lightroom 2 John.

I had a go with it and have really taken to it...

RawTherapee may be able to help. Also UFRaw for GIMP. I use all three packages.
All open source software for Linux and PC (and some Mac compiles too).
