Anyone else got perished rubber boots on their S2?

Whilst tinkering round in the engine bay of my 2007 Elise I noticed the 2 relay type things in the back left corner of the engine bay above the aluminium heat sink on the bulkhead are suffering from badly perished rubber boots.
Has anyone else noticed a similar problem, Im presuming its the heat thats caused it.
More importantly, will it be under warranty?
