er... why do you watch?

If you don't, then it's of no consequence.

Why take pleasure that someone elses enjoyment that didn't effect you has come to an end?

Each to their own.

Basically it clogs all media up, be it the radio mentioning it, the comics mentioning them and the people who think they are someone trying to pimp themselves out.

Not in my world, radio 4, planet rock and the Daily Telegraph don't seem that interested.

The Aussie Big Brother got axed this year after 8 seasons. And like you guys Big Bro finish's Aus Idol starts. I dont mind reality tv but it has to be clever, like amazing race or the mole.

I don't like football, that clogs the media up....
That's just life, there's plenty of stuff all over the media people don't like, I don't see why big brother/X factor are worthy of starting threads about.

yes

It is good value for the first few shows. It goes downhill completely once they weed out the truly deluded!

It is true that R4 is a welcome escape from the tabloid driven life of our intelectually stunted proles.

But do not dismiss the tripe that is pedalled on the idiots lantern.

Whereas once religion that was the opiate of the masses, it is now the drivel which is beamed into the living rooms of the dribbling class.

Rejoice that it keeps them occupied and out of your way.

Channel 4 and ITV aren't stupid, obviously enough people want to watch these shows to warrant them being shown and probably commanding some of the highest advertising slots on TV.

It is lighthearted fun, what is the problem? It's hardly a case of having 4 channels any more. I don't like many sports or horseracing, so that writes off a good few hours of television and pretty much the second half of most newspapers.

But it doesn't much matter as the spaces would just as likely be filled with other shows or artciles that either aren't relevant to me or I don't want want to watch/read anyway.

Because it is dumbing down the population of the planet. People think it IS real, because it is called reality tv. They spend their lives talking about it, discussing it in the work place, arguing the pros and cons of the 'tards who appear in it, when they would do far better discussing REAL things, like their own lives, or, heaven forbid, actually DOING something with their lives.
