I have very stupid question so please no laughing, I have 1991 S3 so the Electric Ariel retaing gromet has come off thats the one that holds it to the body so off I go to try and get new Ariel standard not electric even though that will do not sure the last time you tried to get external Ariel but they dont sll them any more any body got and idea please

I fitted that one from maplin when my old one failed. It can be a bit tricky to get it set up at the correct angle (vertical side to side, leaning back slightly). I had top make up some spacers , but other than that it seems to work fine.

I've still got my old (none working) electric ariel - I'll check it and see if it has the right 'bits' for you still attached.

If it looks like it has I'll post a photo on here & if OK I'll happily send it to you to utilise any parts you need.

I'll try and mail you a photo tomorrow/tuesday.
