Who has a valve/tube amplifier, and if so, which make and model???

I have a 1967 Blackface Fender Deluxe Reverb and it's full of creamy tube amp mojo, so it is.

Awesome, just a little too loud really and doesnt get used to it's potential, want something smaller but cannot bring myself to sell it

Been looking at a Fender 2x12 Hotrod though...tempting

The Fender Hot Rod Deluxe is a pretty good little amp.

A mate of mine has a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier, now that kicks out some serious din, without effort and sounds so sweet, it was the best part of £2.5k tho!

Diezel Einsten 50W head
Couple of weeks time should be getting a Mesa Boogie Tremoverb Dual Rec head.
All paired up to an Orange 4x12

Oh, and a Marshall JMP-1 preamp.

had a fender blues jr. not all tube but pretty decent at the price.

sold it for £20 less than i paid for it, and now deciding which of the point-point kits i want to build

I've got a Marshall Silver Anniversary 50W 2x12" combo. It was playing up for a while but it's just been serviced by Marshall and it plays as good as new now. Here's a picture of it on holiday with a few of its friends.

Just out of interest, how much did it cost for the service/repair....my Head is working fine but being 30 this year I think it could benefit from a look at at least (and possibly some new pots/controls/corner protecters .etc)

are they reasonable...did you get a price list?

Nice amp by the way and the Les Paul on the other thread is just Beautiful, really wanting for one (a Tokai though...cannot afford a 'real' one)

They're extremely cheap. They only want £25 an hour and the parts are done at cost from what I can tell. It seems to me that they're happy to let the repair department tick over so that people keep coming back to them. My total bill was about £45, which was labour plus 3 tube sockets and a preamp tube.

If you phone their repair department they can book you in for a while you wait appraisal. If there's not too much to be done then they can do it for you then and there too. They sorted mine out in about 3 hours after I arrived. If you want me to dig the number out then just shout.

Marshall's service dept is amazing, and really the best of any amp manufacturers... I've taken dozens of amps there for repair, service, upgrades and always been stunned by the price, speed & quality....

I've got a Mesa Boogie MK IV - great amp, but never gets used nowadays so I'm thinking of selling it. Mind you, I've been saying that for about two years now...

Previously had a Fender Twin - it was the unfashionable 'The Twin' model with red controls. Sounded fantastic, but only when it was unreasonably loud.

They were excellent amps, unbelievably loud and had a habit of blowing the speakers, alot... ! Worth very little now, so a bargain if you can find one.
