I noticed this on my 147 this afternoon. Never had this before so I'm confused as to why its started now.

Any idea what it could be?

Had a read on alfaowner after I'd posted this and found out that its something to do with the car not running a full faults check when you start it up

The flashing odometer indicates a fault on the CANBUS system, usually it's because a radio has been fitted or the electric window switch was removed/disturbed.

It will need connecting to the Alfa examiner and reset via a "proxy alignment" - basically a reset!, some non-dealers have this examiner and can do the alignment a lot cheaper than the authorised dealers (as it only takes 5-10 minutes!)
