I'm in South Wales.

After work yesterday it took me two hours to get home, instead of the usual fifteen minutes.

All my routes home were blocked, I ended up on some bloody single track country lane with water up to my axles wondering whether I should find an oar, crack open the window and start paddling.

The old barge made it through though, after the bit where I had to stop, get out of the car and wade into the road to see how deep the water was, check where the air intake was under the bonnet then just go for it Land Rover style.

We celebrated with beer.

I'm currently at work, not a good place to be this morning.

Where abouts are you in this wonderfully damp part of the world (I'm in the Vale of Glamorgan)? I'm finishing in an hour then heading home and going to the pub.

I plan to spend the day there, slowly drinking myself into a warm fuzzy oblivion.

PH South Wales Pub Meet anybody...?

I have a mate in Newport, works for the Patent Office.

Anyway, I digress...

I may drink for myself and others this afternoon, it's been a weeks since I last visited the local, I owe it to myself.

well, it's pissing down here in teddington, but I have just booked a viewing with a delicious MILF for an hours time so things may be looking up. I certainly was when she was leaning over my desk lickhehe

..later, I shall be going to lavender hill, clapham to get caaanted with some aussie birds (are there any other type in that part of London?) so my miserable boring day might end quite well smile

sitting in my office on broad st at the moment biggrin

teddington has loads of PHers in its vicinity - so much so that we held a very successful PH meet in the anglers at teddington lock a few weeks ago... this is aided by PH headquarters and Haymarket et al being based right next door to that pub hehe

Fear not, young Funky, 'tis but global warming/climate change/carbon footprint/carbon dioxide, and the gubberment have got it all in hand and are increasing taxes, as we speak, to cure the problem.
