Hi everyone,

Does anyone have a good indoor/outdoor wireless thermometer weather station thingamybob. I need max and min temperature recording for a base unit and a couple of wireless remote 'sensors'.

If the sensors are IR, are they just 'line of sight' to the base unit of will they work through walls ceilings etc?

There are loads online but was wondering if anyone had one they could recommend.

Cheers.

I've got an Oregon Scientific BAR638HG-2. Very useful. The base unit is in one bedroom, one sensor is in the other bedroom and the other is outside the front door downstairs. No problems at all with it - pretty accurate and reliable. The only thing is that I originally had the outdoor sensor in the back garden, but this was probably a bit far away/obstructed from the line of sight, because it'd occasionally drop (and then re-find) the signal.

The gadget show did a "group" test on these widgets. Have a look on their website.

Yup, I went for the WMR928, you can plug it into a serial port and log the data into something like rrdtool smile
