A word of advice on trade ins

My old Xbox premium was on it's way out (loads of random noises coming from within) so I decided to find out prices etc of an Elite.
Called around and eventually went to Blockbuster.
Blockbuster is offering half price Elite for any premium traded in.
Jumping for joy at only spending £130 on a new console i legged it down there and traded in!!
Got home, set up the new Elite. Then my jaw hit the floor...
Xboxlive keep all of the stats and achievements but not any data (of course this is why you have a HD!!!) Turned on Forza2 and it asked what country you want to start in, at this point i realised that i had lost over 50+ hours of driving and around 4900miles. And to cap it all off, I have gone from level 46 to level 1.
I must say Blockbuster had a great deal, but maybe should have looked into getting a cable to transfer data first.
Since been back to Blockbuster and they have now sold on my Xbox.
So it may have been a good deal but I feel like I’ve lost 2+ years of my life.

Ouch, I feel your pain. That happened to me when I upgraded to Vista. I lost tens of hours of play on Stalker.Called around and eventually went to Blockbuster.
