Have just acquired a couple of lock-ups. Need secure the door when it's shut; are those 'garage defenders' any good?

I'm keeping a few stock items in these lock ups (including Sleep Envy's 993 screen!) I don't want to draw too much attention to the garages by putting big, chunky locks/bolts/hasps on them, but at the same time, I do want them to be reasonably secure...

Any suggestions?

Ta,.

Suggest a trip to your local locksmiths.

I believe ERA do a garage door kit - consisting of 2 x keyed alike 5 lever mortice locks. They edge mount into the door and lock into the frame. fairly inconspicous as all you see is a hole or escutcheon plate on the face of the door. Quite cheap too just a bit of DIY stuff tho'

If your hinges fold, scissors style, just drill them and stick a bolt/bar through both on the inside when closed.
