TT RS - Five Cylinder ????

In this weeks Auto Express, page 10 - Headed Audi's son of R8. The new TT RS with a 2.5 twin turbo 5 pot inline motor,with a quoted 350 bhp on tap.
Will this unseat the UR as the best quattro ever or will it be another also ran??? due on sale at the end of the year for a cool £40,000.

There have been rumous of the 5 pot returning for a fair while - is it an inline 5 or the nasty chopped off VR6?

Not the chopped VR6.

I'm sure I read somewhere this 2.5 inline engine has come from Brazil ??? VAG have made some weard stuff down there. It could be any thing from a Camper to a pick up??

If they put it in an A5 quattro I'd sign up now. As it is I'm still looking for a 20-valve UR to use everyday, even though Audi can't be arsed to supply such basic spares as clutch master cylinders and CV joints.
