So how dismayed are we to see the likes of [insert disliked actor/producers name] pissing it up and behaving like a prize cock at license payers expense.

How accountable are they? And why (more to the point) are we thrown in prison if we don't pay the fee?

And why is Wross paid £6Million?

If i behaved this badly at work, i would expect some sort of disciplinary...

Can someone explain how we got into this mess please?

I despise it. I pay the wages of 'commentators' who spout their biased opinions on the largest media platform in the UK.

They don't represent me, they should not represent me.

The only thing the Beeb does that I watch is Top Gear. If they'd make more episodes each series, I'd happily throw my licence fee at that programme alone..!! Otherwise I'd rather simply delete all the BBC offerings from the channels available to me and watch the others, saving me the cash.

Is there a specific thing that's happened that this refers to, or is it a general (and viable hehe ) rant?

I think was the usual shambles at the "we're celebrities lets give ourseleves all awards for being so great" annual lovey bash.

Look it has been said before so let's do it again. The government licences receivers, radio and TV. They'll do this whatever. Would you A) get the BBC producing a wide variety of Programs and employing people, B) goes into the government's pockets to be used to support more chav's, speed camera's etc....

I still suspect when the whole system goes digital they will then be able to have greater powers on the whole license fee subscription system.

So they were doing it in their own time and not whilst they were at work?

c) neither.... abolish it, and let us keep just a little more of our own money.

I think the licence fee is a bargain. The BBC makes some excellent programmes, has no adverts, is a leader of technology (HD, iPlayer etc.), has a superb website, brilliant radio stations.

I'd happily pay the licence fee just for Radio 4.

Compare what the BBC provides for around £11.50 per month with the dross you get from Sky for upto £60 per month! And Sky is full of adverts.

Which is fine, if what the BBC produces is so much better quality then I'm sure that all of you people who think it's fantastic wil be more than happy to pay 2-3 times the current liscense fee for the BBC. And make it a voluntary payment in return for the service.

Personally I don't like the BBC or it's politics, so I'd like to be able to choose not to receive BBC news/programs. And not to pay for what I don't want in the first place.

There is no 'I would'. You do pay for the licence fee, whether you like it or not. You are fortunate in that you do like the BBC.

I get fed up of a lot of the st programs, the endless bias on the News, Breakfast etc, Chris Moyles and Scott Mills, the website owned by Nu Labia and Barack Osama. But I have no choice but to pay for it. Why is that fair?

Just a quick vent after seeing a collage of pissed up 'presenters' in one of the daily rags.

Also the TV licence reminder came through, also why do you have to buy a year - we're emigrating at the end of Dec...

And at what point does it stop being a ‘bargain’? For me, it was when they were unashamedly elated that Labour won the election in Australia – and before that I had my suspicions of the 100% bias nature when one of the BBC reporters actually said ‘When ‘WE’ win the election...’, talking to a Labour politician - not forgetting the GW, now CC crap the licence payers are constantly spoon fed. I think the only programs I have that was made by the BBC (and only in part), on DVD is Rome, and Top Gear on SKY+ HD, and that's it! I can't even stomach the latest batch of nature programs, something I used to love, due to the underlying CC agenda bubbling very close to the surface of the narration.

It's great if you're a rabid socialist though, certainly get your money's worth, and then some....

Quite. Which is fine, so long as they don't expect to be able to force the rest of us to pay for the c**p they think is so fantastic.

When we switch over to digital it would be perfectly possible to make the BBC a subscription service.

If their blatent bias was costing them subscribers they might change their ways.

They may not, 'they' however only have 2 years at most left in power.

It's a TV tax. Not a fee.
