Group B Car Club - 1999

Hello all, bit of a weird one this: I was a spectator at a Group B Car Club event at Wroughton Airfield back in 1999 and I remember the day involving a few nasty crashes, one of which was (I thought) a red Noble M10 which went through some railings and ended up in a bit of a mess.
Does anyone remember anything like this? I was going through some old emails at the time and it made me recall the day.

You are absolutely right it was a Noble M10 one of only two made at the time
the other one was a blue one which was also there on the day.
The driver of the red car that crashed was an 18 year old that thought he was indestructable.Lee had taken him round the track for several laps and he seem to be quite a sensible driver,but when let out on his own proved to be anything but,he drove without any consideration for other drivers on the track. When approaching a right hand bend he changed down the gears,missed fourth gear and put it into second and locked the rear wheels lost control of the car and crashed into the metal barriers launching one into the air about twelve feet high also hitting a spectator and breaking his leg.
The nearside door was ripped off with the impact which we put back in its place and we used a complete roll of tank tape to hold it in,I had the pleasure of being passenger in the car as Lee drove it back to Leicester,holding on to the door all the way home.
