Has anyone taken the rear under tray off their elise or exige! Was wanting to replace my exhaust and have the use of a gargae and mechanic (good friend of mine) so was thinkin i could do the job myself.
Just a bit worried about getting the under tray at the back of the car off and then back on again!

Thanks in advance..

Undertray/diffuser is a piece of p*ss. 2 minutes, even for me (maybe slightly more if the bolts are a bit corroded)

Thanks, I assume replacing the tray afterwards with regards to re-alignment is easy too!

Wish me luck.....

It's a doddle, you'll be fine. Might get an aching arm and neck though biglaugh.
The exhaust mount bolts are a bit awkward but just persevere! The hardest bit is getting the exhaust off - a lot of wiggling required wink let us know how you get on! thumbup

On the my S1, to get to the exhaust, you just need to remove the 5 8mm bolts from the back and the 2 5mm allen bolts, the tray will then bend enough to get access. I just back onto some ramps and let the try sit on the floor. This way you don't have any problems lining back up. Put allen bolts back, not fully, then put in 5 8mm bolts - best to replace these with stainless and replace clips. I also use duralac to stop the chemical reaction between the ali and steel.

Not sure if the s2 the same. Hope this helps.
