'for a laff (hoho what a comedian)' i wrote "happy 40th" on a 28 year old girls card.. and six people believed it with comments to the effect...(if anything she looks younger).

brilliant.

I suspect the girl will be grateful that you subtly pointed out her advanced ageing so she will now be able to address the problem.

Or you'll be fired for ageismerising and she will require councelling paid for by the company.

Or that joke will continue to appear on every office card ever without any consequences. wink

& a Female manager.

I put on the leaving card "i'll never forget your pants" guess what?...yep wrong card.
I got some very funny looks off "the Lady" glad she was leaving eek

Jokes about women's ages are not generally well-received and I'd say you can expect a call from HR later to discuss 'your current situation'.

Quite right. According to AHA's Morton Harket, it always shines 'on TV'. Its a scientific fact.
