Another prime example....

Apparently, according to a poster from our local fire brigade. 1/3rd of all deaths from fire happen when people are drunk.
So thats 2/3rd that happen to sober people.
So to halve your change of dying in a fire, get pissed. smile

Great story - but this tickled me

Jaswant was by no means a heavy drinker but on the odd occasion when there was cause for celebration, he was partial to a Carlsberg Special Brew, which is 9% proof.
I have never in my life met anybody who would touch Spesh and wasn't already a fully-fledged card-carrying alcoholic wink

It also wins on quiz machines.

I clumsily spilt my pint down the pub quiz machine, and as I reeled over the loss of my beverage, the beautiful 'continental' head slipped down the screen and answered me a series of 4 questions correctly doing its bit to secure me £2 as a last act of heroic support.

Four members of my family were on board flight 103. I wish the piece of st who put the bomb on board had drunk themself to death and missed the flight instead.

I do find it a bit strange that someone who doesn't drink that much would go for the strongest drink that doesn't even taste very nice.

nono

Unfair assumption to make. Our family never take recreational drugs, but when we all get together for a knees-up you cannot move for crack cocaine.

That is horrible. to lose one member of a family in such a way must be bad enough.

Actually I'm pretty sure just about all statistics show that less accidents happen when you are drunk.

Unless most of the world are drunk all the time.
