Goodyear have apparently ceased production of these and Ive a new pair on the rears but need a pair for the front. Does anyone have stock of the old type? What do you think is it safe to put the new type asymetric tread on the front with the rotationals on the back of the Tamora?

Should not be too much of a problem - so long as they are in pairs across each axle.

Interesting as I was advised not to put Asymetrics on the front with GSD3's on the back but that the other way round would be ok- sounds like bad advice, but definitely worth checking with a reputable tyre centre first or even GoodYear themselves.

Interesting.

I have asymetric on the front as the GSD3's weren't available a year ago. but they are again now.

I used Etyres.co.uk, as the local guy live 200m from my house. He had no problem getting the GSD3's for my rears.

You can still get F1 from ctyres.co.uk or from tyremen.co.uk. I have just orderd 4, size 255/35/18 for about £118 each with free delivery, hope this helps. Gordon............

I've found some goodyear GSD3's here in Germany for €147 (117 quid)
So hopefully I only need to replace one front.

I also have assymetrics on the front and gsd3s on the rear. Many thousand miles and a few trackdays later and there is no problem at all.

I noticed yesterday the new GSd3's have an anti kerbing ridge on them.

Yes they do, but it isn't large enough to prevent damage to your alloy. I have them on my MX5 and I found out the other day it's still quite easy to damage an alloy with the ridge in place.

Other than that, I can't fault the GSD3s at all. Loads of grip and after a particularly hard trackday, there's still tons of tread left.
