baggage handler strike
Discussion
I allegedly work @ Manchester airport.
If there is a strike then it will only affect the aircraft served by that company - and they will still fly a limited service because they make all non union staff in that company sort/load the baggage. Always fun to see the MD sweating.
Which airline are you attempting to fly with?
[edit]
I just looked it up - it's Swissport and they handle Virgin Atlantic, Emirates, KLM, Air France, Monarch and Cyprus Airways. And maybe a couple of others.
Even if you phone to ask they will still tell you to turn up - take supplies just in case you suffer a long wait.
