Are you serious, just Google TVR / Griffith / Chimaera / Tamora / S Series - there must be 1,000's of pages of stuff wink

p.s. get a Griff 500 unless you play golf in which case a Chimaera 4.5 will suit you better

Look at threads on here, join the TVRCC, go to some meetings and talk to owners, best way of getting all the info you need.

best bet is to buy the steve heath chim/griff guide , its called the bible and has everything you need to know including a big section on teh history of the cars and the various model types. I believe you can pick one up at the tvrcc web site

Don't discount the V8S if you like the more old-school stuff.

I had 2 'M's, an S2 and now have a V8S - that would be a good choice, the others would too though smile

(I just like them all)

Going to a few club meets will help you decide which car you like the most.

I've had an S, a Wedge, and a couple of Chimaeras too.. All lovely cars, but for different reasons.

Get a Griffith. A precat if you want to stand out from the crowd.

Do not buy something like this: clicky - It's just wrong!

Many thanks, Is the precat Griff quicker? I am looking for a car to drive and enjoy everyday, good power, good looks and good sound? I dont suppose these cars can be fitted with towbar? my other hobby is clsssic speedboats but will tow with my other car, not to bothered about cost of TVR as long as it is correct car? JBD

Here was my original list, E-Type, BMW Z4, TVR, Westfield,MG V8, now its TVR for power looks, can I expect maybe the correct Griff to hold it's price? Thanks again, JBD

TBH, I think prices are unpredictable at the moment.

The Griff is a classic version of a well loved marque and I would not expect prices to crash. Having said that, I'm off to collect my 3rd tiv tomorrow as it's at an irresistable price.

Because there were something like 9:1 Chimps to Griffs they will always be slightly more desirable. I think a well looked after example will always hold it's value these days. I doubt TVRs will ever see the remarkable appreciation in values that Ferraris have and now Astons but you shouldn't lose money on it.

p.s. Quite an eclectic mix you've got there BMW Z4 is basically a new car get in, start it and drive but after a few weeks uninvolved as opposed to an E-Type which these days is an old motor car which will require fettling and nurturing to own. I guess the TVRs sit in between because you will certainly need to be interested in cars to own one.
