Looking at a B7 RS4 as my next purchase and most seem to be sub 30k miles on the clock, does anyone know of any problems which develope with cars of 40k miles or more, its a 2006 with 46k miles that im looking at and want some opinions/stories/things to look out for, to help gain some knowledge before spending any money.

Thanks

Graham

Suspension leaks: Warranty

Bolster wear: Not warranty

Discs, pads and tyres for breakfast? Yup.

Nothing at all wrong with the 53k mile car we sold a few months ago.

Graham,

I could write pages for thing to check from resprays ... badly refurb alloy wheels, oil etc .. just look over every inch of the car .... has it been mapped ??

Try and find somebody in your area that has one already or indeed have a vag com to plug in the diag port to see if the car has logged any errors ... make sure it has tech pack ...

Good luck

As 911 says above. Have a look at the drivers right hand side thigh bolster in the pics on the audi approved used car website and you will see that alot of the deep bucket seats, not the reccarros tend to look a bit battered. If you are of slim build (say 34 waist and smaller) the buckets should b comfy, if your a fat knacker then stay clear and go for reccarros but make sure you try both.
The DRC system is a problem that 911 mentions as is a warranty item.
A few tend to be a bit smokey on start up but if it clears its not a problem, my old car did occassionally and it was fine, some eat a bit more oil, but check it to see if its been looked after.
