Not had the greatest day today.

Started the car up at my parents having left it out over night in the rain and the plug leads were damp - misfiring like a bd on anything more than a part throttle. Bit of WD40 and some full throttle running cleared it up.

Then along the A303 while still checking things over was tucked in behind a Merc and not paying attention to my speed - spotted a camera van and realised we were doing 85mph.
I saw it first and backed off quite quickly, so hopefully the Merc may have shielded me from it but another thing to worry about.

Finally to cap it all off went to overtake someone on Salisbury Plain - complete the move, go to change to 4th and it won't engage... Neither will 3rd... nor 5th...
Clutch won't engage at all. Blip the throttle and punch it into 4th where I leave it all the way to Devizes.

Through the town is okay, 4th is fine down to about 15mph so just slow early for roundabouts and then power across when there is a big gap, pick a way across town with no give ways/stops.

Then I get to the Morrisons roundabout and I'm going to HAVE to stop. Punch it into neutral and then of course I can't actually get any gear at all - the engines spinning but the wheels aren't...
No problem, stop the engine, select 1st, get it rolling on the starter motor, pull away up to about 30, pull it into neutral, let the revs die down and then find 3rd.

All the way back to Swindon was fine, stuck to 4th and managed to overtake a few people in places. Managed a perfect blipped throttle downshift into 3rd in Wroughton (with lots of people standing around, glad I didn't graunch it!), then repeated the Morrisons roundabout routine across Swindon.

So got it home, will sort it out in the week but you know the worst thing? I missed the start of the bloody F1.
