Honda have told Jaques that they want him out of BAR - to be replaced by Sato.

It'd be a travesty if he wasn't in F1 next year.

Villeneuve could have won more than a handful of championships by now but was convinced to follow the blind hopes of C Pillock esq. Shame!

Still, at least we can look forward to seeing the highly charismatic, balls-out, entertaining, celebrity dating, bleedin' quick Sato next year. That should pull in the punters!

Why the likes of Bumgardener are driving when there is a far better pool of talent available (Gené, McNish, Wurz, etc.) I'll never know - well I do, it's money!

Get McRae and Villeneuve into Nascar or something else - quick. It's a real shame that two drivers who still have lots to offer the sport are being kicked out for poltical reasons.

Jacque's been shown up by Jensen this year both in qualifying and racing and he is a character off the circuit, more than Jacques anyway. And there are other qualities Jens brings to F1, Louise for one

In my opinion though the quicker Lewis Hamilton gets an F1 drive the better, he might just be in the frame when McLaren finally have a open seat and give Coulthard a proper PR job.

Yeah me to. Sato is a complete nutcase, which is what F1 needs I think. Proper balls out, doesn't care Alesi style driver

Rumour Rumour Rumour.

Villeneuve is looking like he's going to get squeezed out of BAR in favour of Sato for the Japanese GP. The rumour is that Williams want Villeneuve to race in place of Ralf, if Ralf is not fit for the US & Japan GP's. Which would of course satisfy Honda who want Sato in their car. Williams thinking that although Gene did a good job at Monza he hasn't tested at Indy or Suzuka and might struggle. It might all be pit lane whispers but you never know

Villeneuve in a Williams would be fun to watch, it may also answer the question is he still any good? Rich...

'I would not be walking away with nothing but you want to finish on a high note or because you are simply not good enough any more.'
I see a moody driver who consistently under-achieves. Yes, the car has been poor and unreliable, but he has been consistently outperformed by "lesser" team-mates (Panis and Button) and often throws the car at the scenery. And no, he has not achieved anything significant since he was in a car that was streets ahead of anything else on the track.

Selective memory syndrome, I think. IIRC He has been less than complementary about the car, the engine and the team on a fairly regular basis for the last 2-3 years.

"...simply not good enough any more", I couldn't have put it better myself Jacques. You are the weakest link, good-bye.
