He he...more questions sorry.

I have searched about for these answers but no joy.

When replacing the hood after use, is it critical to follow the instructions by placing one side (I think my manual says the left first) followed by the right?

I had a job getting my roof back on easily today, though I expect I shall develop the knack of it.

Doesn't make any difference really, just put the 'bows' in and roll out from the centre.

Id this is the Short roof version, then yes it does make a difference. Do it as the manual says, or the gutter on the passenger side begings to get worn paint work. No idea why it happens, but it does.

Yup apparently with the short version if you fit drivers side 1st your more likely to damage the rubber seals.

Once you get the hang of it you can put it on in about 30seconds, a few times I've managed to remove the roof while rolling slowly in traffic... soooooo much easi

I found that my roof assembly technique was improved by really hard rain, especially with my other half sat in the passenger seat asking me why I'd spent all our money on an elise... biggrin

TBH the paintwork wears on both sides - seals on mine are fine, sure they leak a little but not from wear. And you'll end up with scratches on the rollbar from use - I wouldn't worry about it.

yeah, has always been pax side first on short roof...if you watch when you are doing it you will see why - less chance of damaging the paint and tensions better...also makes sense in the design - always get of out drivers side, take off roof that side first ...when you put it on ,then pax first, driver last and into the drivers seat
