wii driving game(s)

stayed at friends house at weekend - played Burnout Paradise on his Xbox360. simply great fun.

have a Wii at home - anything available which gets close to Burnout?

No. Mario Kart is about as good as it gets, and speed-wise if Burnout is a supercar, then Mario Kart is an underpowered moped by comparison.

There is Ferrari Challenge on the Wii though, isn't there?!
I haven't played it mind...

Can't think of a game further from Burnout though in the racing game spectrum, one is trying as hard as possible to be a sim, the other is eyeball wateringly fast and has ridiculous physics.

True, but I was only referring to it inline with the thread title!
In that case, AFAIAware on the Wii there is nothing like Burnout!

Burnout was good fun - its over the top and i admit not realistic but total mental beer. Not really looking for a GT5 style game on the Wii.

the ferrari challenge is soon to be released i've discovered, i've seen a couple of reviews but for PS3/Xbox version not Wii specific.

guess its Mario Kart then....
