I have ever bought the EVO magazine simply becasue the Evora was on the front of it.

Tonights plan is this.

Bath the kids
Put them to bed
Chinese takeaway
Big Brother
Family bag of minstrels
Read the EVO magazine and fantasise over the Evora
Calculator out
Read and fantasise some more.
Check Irish lottery numbers
Fantasise some more again.
Go to bed
Dreeam about the Evora.

the TVR is an itch i have never scratched but my mate has owned a couple and had countless problems which has put me off.
My missus, who knows nothing about cars, has just pointed at the Nissan in this months Evo and said she likes that. She cant drive so her opinion on cars doesnt really count pretty much as mine deosnt when we talk hair staightenersrolleyes;)

The trouble with me is, i like to many cars but do not have a big budget & would have to compromise some what.
Part of me feals like buying a cheap diesel, yes diesel & trying to save for something rather special. My girlfriend loves elises & we almost split up after i sold my S1 & it would take some convincing to get her to like any TVR. She has also set up her own catering business & im kinda hoping that once things pick, she can buy me an Elise. biggrin

TVR's are like boats. They are great fun as long as they are not yours. I tooled around in a relatives 4.0 Chimera for a few weeks and it was great. Handed it back and the throttle jammed wide open on a dual carriageway, then the steering went iffy, then the boot wouldn't close. He then traded it for a Merc SL which I also borrowed smile A 4.0 Cerbera is a hell of a quick car in a straight line.

Not to say I don't fancy a 350C which is supposed to be when they got the build and handling right.

Mate, you have a gorgeous Exige. Be happy with it. Stick with it. Yes the Evora is nice, but what then? You'll want a GT3 after that. If you can afford it then yeah, of course go for it. But I was always taught to be happy with what you have. I can say now that I WON'T be buying an Evora. I'm more than happy with my little Elise....smile

DAFL!
I came back from a day of hooning around Llandow last weekend having dirty thought about an Exige S. I'd had a play with one on track and loved it - I'd even had a closer look at the Lotus roadshow ones and decided on the interior and a nice Isotope Green colour.
I then had a think and realised something: there was no way I was ever going to get £30ks worth of extra fun out of it compared to my lovely little S1. If I could spend £30k without thinking too hard about it I'd probably have the Exige. As it is I'll stick with what I've got and spend my spare cash on track daysdriving
