As the title really.

Bought a 360 Elite (swapped the Wii + cash) and I have a couple of questions:

It has a 175w power supply - is this a "Falcon" then and in theory will it be more reliable?

Is there any way of making the DVD drive a bit quieter?! I am hoping that the forthcoming update will enable you to rip games to the HDD so that the drive isn't in constant use as it's fairly quiet when the disc isn't spinning. Anyone know about this?

Thanks
Seb

Yeah that'll be a Falcon, if it's a new one then it's pretty much guaranteed to be a Falcon.

The update to rip games to the hard drive is coming this year, that's all they've said so far, it will need the disc in the drive for verification purposes but should be loads quieter. Think I may have to upgrade soon.

Seriously do some people lip read their games or something? I can't say my disc drive bothers me when I'm playing anything as even with the surround at a fairly low level it out does the 747 turbine inside the 360 moonlighting as a dvd drive

The HD install function is in the new update. there's a video of it on Kotaku / youtube. GTAIV install eats nigh on 7gb.
It gets rid of the disc whine.

Yep - cant wait. Glad I have 120gb to fill up..

Played the demo of Bioshock last night. OMFG - lights out, middle of the night, very atmospheric !

Bought Forza 2 for £9.99, brand new with free postage from shopto.net

I guess I need to start adding PH Gamertags then.
