VW T4 2.4D - 1992 - HELP!!

Got a little problem with my van. The light on the dash for coolant level/temp seems to be constantly flashing. Now there is definately the right amount of coolant in there, and it doesn't ever seem to get hugely hot. So can't work out why the light remains on. Anyone any ideas?

Maybe a dodgy level sensor, is it in the screw on cap? I know its usual thing to go in the MK11 Golfs.

Try a new one, i dont think they are expensive

I've put a new water bottle in and it still does the same thing ,if anything it's worse. But doesn't leak coolant like the old one :-D
