Ive noticed that these have come down in price to a sensible level. They look very nice and seem to have all the 'must have' features. What does everyone else think??

Mate has one.

I had a go with it recently - it's a very good bit of kit. Excellent picture quality (even on standard def mode) and nice and compact - it's not much bigger than a mobile.

I keep toying with the idea of one, but I have shied away, as I'm not sure how much use I'd give it - I have no need for HD at the moment, and the video cam in my Nokia N95 does all what I need at present.

I'd say "top gadget" and a good camcorder as well.

It got a good review on the Gadget Show on Ch5 recently as well.

I've got one since it came out in May and I'm very happy with it. Small size, well built, nice looking and most importantly very qood image quality especially considering its size. I've also tested it in my car at the Ring with a Manfrotto super clamp mounted on the roll bar and the result is excellent (I've used other cameras inside the car before). I strongly recommend it. The only problem I have (and it's not a fault of the TG3E) is that it's tempting to record in HD but then I lack the processing power to edit it. I therefore first downsize the clip using a video converter and then edit it Premiere Pro.
