HELP!

To cut a long story short: I took a gamble that holiday prices would come down the nearer I left it to the dates of travel nuts

They have not! Oh no, quite the opposite in fact, and it was my job to sort out a holiday this year redface

I wondered if anyone can recommend a holiday web site that has REAL holidays on it?!!

Every last minute deal I've phoned up to book (particularly on one site that would have seen me On The Beach) has been met with the same response: "sorry sir, that flight has now been filled, but I do have these flights at £500.00 PP more" rolleyes

I am desperate. Looking to go for 11-14 nights anywhere hot with a beach. And er, cough, going 16th/17th August! S/C or Half Board, I'm not fussed. Me, Mrs 911 and 911 junior (think of poor little 911 junior!).

I dont know any specifics but try ownersdirect.co.uk and look for special offers. There may be cancellations or new stuff.

You could always do it risky and wait until the day before you set off cool

There were flights to Canada for £112 each way when my brother was looking. Although that maybe misses out on the "hot with beaches" requirement smile

On a serious note I have used Original Travel in the past, they were always very helpful so may be able to sort you out.

Another vote for thomson. Never had any trouble with their last minute stuff and have booked less than 24 hrs in advance!

Really depends on what your budget is as to what you can get. Fortnight all inclusive, decent hotel with kids club etc in somewhere like Cyprus is £2500 for everyone.

I've just been back on Thomson's site and for the dates I want (any London airport) I'm getting back: 12 nights HB in Majorca for £3000 frown

Never had any problmes with them really. Yeah its a call centre and you end up payign more than advertised but i've always been able to beat the high street by using them.

But you are going in the schoool holidays........
